1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files a website places on your device. Browsers also offer similar storage (called local storage and session storage) that works the same way for most purposes. This page covers all of them.

Some are needed for a site to work or to remember a choice you've made. Others track you across the internet. We only use the first kind.

2. What We Store

None of these identify you or track you across other sites.

Third party: Calendly

Our contact page embeds a booking calendar from Calendly. When it loads, Calendly may set its own cookies, and anything you enter to book a call is handled by Calendly under Calendly's privacy notice. Other pages link to Calendly rather than embedding it, so nothing loads until you click.

Analytics

We don't currently run any analytics scripts or set any analytics cookies. If we add cookieless aggregate analytics in future, we'll update this page before it goes live.

3. What We Don't Use

• Advertising cookies: No retargeting, no following you around the internet
• Social media trackers: No Facebook pixels, no LinkedIn or X tags
• Analytics cookies: None
• Fingerprinting: No covert identification techniques

4. The Cookie Banner

The banner offers "Accept All" and "Essential Only". Because we don't set any optional cookies, both choices currently work the same way: the site stores your choice so it doesn't ask again. If we ever add anything optional, it will only run if you choose "Accept All".

5. How to Control Cookies

Browser Settings

Every major browser lets you block cookies. Look for Settings > Privacy > Cookies.

Specific Cookie Opt-Out

• All cookies: Use private/incognito browsing mode

6. Legal Basis

Under GDPR and PECR, we need lawful basis for cookies:

• What we store (section 2): Strictly necessary to provide what you've asked for, or to remember a choice you've made, so it doesn't need consent under PECR
• Analytics cookies: We don't set any
• Marketing cookies: We don't set any

You can clear everything we store at any time using your browser settings.

7. Policy Updates

If we change our cookie use (unlikely - we're pretty minimal already), we'll:

• Update this page
• Change the "last updated" date
• Reset cookie consent so you can choose again

We won't sneak in new tracking. That's not the Twisthand way.
