Meta Muse isn't in the UK yet. Here's how to be ready when it is.

What Muse is

• A personal AI agent for consumers. Meta says Muse "takes action": sending an email, booking travel, and working on bigger goals after the app is closed.
• US only so far. It launched on 8 September 2026 on iOS, Android and muse.ai, with Meta's AI glasses to follow. Meta hasn't announced a UK date.
• Free for most uses. Meta says it's free for most of what people need, with subscription plans for more. It has also said it plans to make money by taking a small fee from transactions over time.
• Open to developers. In September 2026 Meta opened a platform for developers to build Muse "connectors" to their own services, and reported more than 1,500 applications in under a week. Existing integrations include Shopify, Stripe, PayPal, Expedia, Instacart, GitHub and Notion. Meta hadn't published full technical details (format, authentication, limits) at launch.

Muse or Meta Business Agent?

They're often confused. They work for different people.

If you want AI answering your customers on WhatsApp today, you want Meta Business Agent.

What to do now

1. List the tasks a customer's agent could do with you. Booking, reordering, checking an order, getting a quote. Start with the ones customers already find tedious.
2. Check each one has a clean API. An agent can't click through your website like a person does. It needs a proper interface it can call.
3. Make those actions safe for an agent to use. A repeated request mustn't create a duplicate order. Responses should return only what's needed. Logins should use a standard method.
4. Ask your platforms what they already cover. If you sell on Shopify or take payments through Stripe or PayPal, find out what their Muse connectors mean for your shop before building anything yourself.
5. Watch Meta's developer terms. Details that matter, such as authentication, review and limits, were still thin at launch.

The same work gets you ready for Meta Business Agent and for other companies' agents. It isn't wasted if Muse takes a while to reach the UK.
